The Pedemontana Veneta Brewery Trail: a journey at full speed

An itinerary through craft production, sustainability and historic traditions

The Pedemontana Veneta Breweries Route reveals an outstanding brewing culture through 17 craft producers, introducing visitors to production techniques and the social values connected to beer. Official plates and totems mark the route, inviting slow travel through guided visits and shops where you can discover fermentation secrets and malt
selection.

The itinerary takes visitors beyond traditional tourist flows, linking the pleasure of tasting a good pint with local history. This land has ancient roots, reflected in historic brewing sites such as Birreria Vecia and Birreria Summano in Piovene Rocchette, whose foundation dates back to 1873.

Tradition and innovation

This journey combines taste with environmental commitment, encouraging climate resilience, business innovation and circular economy practices. The connection with the land is guaranteed by farm breweries set in beautiful rural contexts, where the entire production chain is based on locally grown barley and hops.

Today, the sector is dynamic and growing rapidly: Veneto is home to 10% of all Italian craft breweries. This local excellence is recognised and actively protected by the Region, supporting technological innovation and tourism development throughout the area.
