Trekking
Where the paths tell stories of centuries
The province of Vicenza offers hikers an extraordinarily diverse trail network. The Piccole Dolomiti are the most spectacular: Dolomite ridges, vertical walls, and the famous Strada delle Gallerie al Pasubio—52 tunnels dug into the rock during the First World War—offer an experience that combines challenging trekking and open-air history. Cima Carega and Sengio Alto add to the breathtaking alpine landscapes.
On the Altopiano dei Sette Comuni, the network becomes gentler but no less fascinating. The Via delle Malghe connects over eighty active mountain huts through pastures and woods, while the routes to Ortigara, Monte Corno, and Cima Portule offer significant elevation gains and views that on clear days reach as far as the Brenta Dolomites.
Monte Grappa completes the picture with historic trails that climb through woods and ridges to the Military Memorial: a trek that is always an act of remembrance.
