Crafted to Perfection: A Culinary Journey Through History and Traditional Flavors

Crafted to Perfection: A Culinary Journey Through History and Traditional Flavors

The experience in a nutshell

Set against the picturesque backdrop of Monte Berico, the Ai Sette Santi Restaurant offers a unique gastronomic experience, combining art, history and the cuisine of Vicenza.

Historical Inspiration
To mark the Jubilee of the Renaissance, and with the scholarly contribution of Professor Soletti, a culinary journey has been devised, inspired by Paolo Veronese’s famous work The Supper of St Gregory the Great, creating a perfect fusion of culture and haute cuisine.

The Menu: A Journey of Flavours

The menu showcases recipes from the 16th-century tradition and traces the evolution of Venetian cuisine through ingredients symbolic of the region:

  • The Starter: The classic Venetian starter, accompanied by a glass of ‘ombra’ wine and the typical ‘spunciotti’.
  • The Historic Main Course: Recipes inspired by the 16th century, such as quail in orange sauce.
  • The Dessert: A sweet finale that rediscovers the local peasant tradition.

Each course thus becomes a piece of a narrative that engages directly with the history and art of Monte Berico.

Who is it for: An experience designed for cultural groups, schools and companies wishing to discover and experience Vicenza through its most authentic gastronomic identity.
