Rural charm and traditions: discovering historic centres

From hilltop villages to pre-Alpine valleys, the slow side of the province

The province is marked by a widespread constellation of places and small centres of great rural interest, from the Berici Hills to the Pedemontana and the hamlets of the Asiago Seven Municipalities Plateau. This network of villages and towns is ideal for slow, responsible tourism, able to reveal the destination’s most authentic soul.

In the Vicenza Pedemontana, local heritage makes its villages the key to discovering itineraries away from mass tourism. In the heart of the valleys, visitors encounter the characteristic villages of Posina and Laghi, followed by the mountain village of Tonezza del Cimone, surrounded by woods and historic contrade with dry-stone terraces.

Rural Villages and Breathtaking Nature

The Berici Hills also offer a hilly landscape dotted with villages and trails immersed in greenery. Walking along Brendola’s hiking network, for example, you can pass directly through old rural villages whose charm remains intact.

The identity of smaller centres is also expressed through the historic splendour of Marostica’s medieval fortifications. Alongside this evocative walled town is the craft soul of Nove, historically known as the cradle of artistic ceramic production. Many other villages are rich in history too: discover them with us.
