Shaping ceramic pots by hand

The experience in a nutshell

Discover the colorful world of the “Cuchi,” the traditional animal-shaped ceramic whistles from Nove, guided by the expertise of Master Artist Diego Poloniato.

The Experience: History, Tradition, and Modeling
A hands-on workshop immersed in the centuries-old ceramic tradition of the province of Vicenza:

  • History and Folklore: Discover the origins of the Cuchi and their historical connection to the raids by Napoleonic mercenaries in the Nove area.
  • Working with Clay: Get your hands dirty and learn the techniques for shaping clay to create your own unique ceramic piece.
  • A One-of-a-Kind Piece as a Gift: Since firing requires a specific amount of time, at the end of the experience each participant will receive a precious, original Cuco, previously hand-modeled and finished by Master Poloniato.

Who It’s For: Ideal for lovers of artistic crafts, collectors, families, creative individuals, and anyone who wants to discover the folk traditions of the Veneto region.

An experience by Viart, the showcase of Confartigianato Vicenza’s craftsmanship and expertise.
