Where water comes to life: the Bacchiglione Resurgence Spring Itineraries

Ten routes through nature and UNESCO Villas

The Bacchiglione resurgence springs area offers a system of 10 itineraries following the sources of the river. Averaging 10 kilometres each, the routes are part of one of Europe’s largest aquifers and reveal the phenomenon of water naturally rising from the ground.

The network has strong cultural appeal thanks to the presence of several Venetian Villas included in the UNESCO heritage area. Along the routes you can admire masterpieces such as Villa Caldogno, Villa Forni Cerato and Villa Valmarana Bressan, combining cycle tourism with visits to historic residences.

Ten Unique Ways to Explore the Area

The network connects with the Fogazzaro Roi Trail and the Cammino delle Apparizioni, allowing travellers to extend their journey. With many starting points between Vicenza and nearby municipalities, visitors can choose the route that best suits them within a system that combines protected nature with cultural and religious itineraries.

The individual routes converge towards the Bosco di Dueville from places such as Malo, Thiene, Marano and Vicenza. Distances range from 6 to 13.5 kilometres, making it easy to tailor the visit to the time available and creating a perfect blend of soft mobility and world heritage.
