The route runs from Bocchetta Campiglia to Porte del Pasubio, with 2,300 metres carved directly into the rock to protect the movement of soldiers and pack animals from enemy fire.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:33.33%\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns mb-0 is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:33.33%\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The work reveals unique details, including four spiral tunnels built to overcome major elevation gains. The nineteenth tunnel, the longest at 320 metres, and the twentieth, which climbs in a spiral, are especially impressive. Once at Rifugio Papa, visitors can explore the Sacred Area with the Italian and Austrian Teeth, the Roman Arch and the War Cemetery.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow
